As an experienced midwife and mother of 2 daughters, both of whom I breastfed, I am familiar with the ups and downs of breastfeeding, both short-term and long-term.
I want mothers to leave the workshop feeling confident and more informed about breastfeeding.
Come join me and learn about:
Understanding newborn behaviour and responsive reflexes that help your baby to breastfeed
The 9 instinctive stages after birth
How breastfeeding works
What to expect in the first few days and in the first few weeks
How to know when your baby is getting enough milk and when your baby is hungry
Your baby’s Latch and finding a comfortable position to feed in
Knowing when you need help and where to find it
How birth can affect breastfeeding
Common myths and misconceptions about breastfeeding
Dads/partners are also welcome to attend for no additional cost. Please let me know in advance if a partner is coming as this may affect class size.
Please let me know if there is anything in particular you would like to see covered, e.g. breastfeeding twins or breastfeeding after a c-section.
